Hi,

I am a software executive in the United States and India, who has recently been spending a lot of time focusing on the globalization of technology.

I am the CEO of techTribe, a platform for current and future professionals in our industry to showcase what they’ve done, what they continue to do, and be recognized for it. It’s a place where people can meet others who share accomplishments, passions, or interests, and collaborate in “Tribes”. On techTribe, “meeting of the minds” fosters innovation.

We founded techTribe because as professionals in the software and services fields, the founders felt that there was more to their identities than the company they worked for. They were tired of introductions that centered around “Hi, I’m Rohit, and I work for Company X”.

We’ve all felt that way. There’s more to our identity. There’s the company we work for, but there’s also what we’ve accomplished in life. We rarely get a chance to talk about what we’ve done. We should be promoting our achievements.

In my past life, I've had the fortune of being on the founding and management teams of successful startups and large software companies including Founding VP Marketing/Bus. Dev at Webify (acquired by IBM in 2006), VP of Marketing at CommercialWare (acquired by Datavantage), VP of Strategic Marketing at Baan (IPO: 1997), Marketing/Sales Management at Remedy (IPO: 1995), and FileNet (acquired by IBM).
